Community Engagement & Education

Community Engagement and Education in Lake Villa

At Bradley Counseling, our mission extends beyond the walls of our clinic. We believe that a healthy community is built through shared knowledge, accessibility, and proactive support. As a leader in Lake Villa outpatient mental health services, we are dedicated to providing high-quality educational resources, specialized workshops, and outreach programs that empower families and professionals.

Through our community-based mental health initiatives, we strive to reduce stigma and provide practical tools for emotional and behavioral wellness across Lake County.

Workshops, Outreach, and Professional Development

Our multi-disciplinary clinical counseling team is active in the community, offering a variety of engagement opportunities designed to meet people where they are.

Parenting Workshops (Partnering with Parents)

We offer "Partnering with Parents" workshops monthly during the school year. These sessions are FREE and accessible both in person and virtually. They cover vital topics like tackling summer boredom, managing school-year stress, and building stronger family connections. While our next series is currently being finalized, you can stay tuned for our upcoming schedule or view our previous training archives.

Professional Mental Health Training (CEs & CEUs)

Allendale is an approved sponsor by the American Psychological Association (APA) to provide Continuing Education credits (CEs) for Clinical Psychologists*. Allendale is also approved by the state of Illinois to provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Social Workers and LCPCs. While licensed clinicians will receive credits, all mental health workers are welcome to attend and learn about various topics.  We maintain a high standard of professional development, awarding CEs/CEUs to clinicians looking to expand their expertise in trauma-informed care, family systems, emotional wellness, evidence-based treatment interventions, and other important mental health topics affecting children, teens, adults, couples, and families.

Community Outreach and Exhibitions

Bradley Counseling is a frequent presence at Lake County wellness fairs, resource nights, school events, community programs, and local outreach initiatives. We’re available to attend events as an exhibitor or resource partner to help connect individuals and families with supportive mental health resources and services.

Tailored Mental Health Trainings

Upon request, we provide customized mental health training for schools, workplaces, organizations, and community groups throughout Lake County. Whether you need support around anxiety, stress management, behavioral health, communication, trauma, or emotional wellness, our team can develop a program tailored to your audience and goals.

Why Work with Our Community Engagement Team?

The benefit of working with Bradley Counseling is our deep connection to the Allendale network. Our community initiatives, led by Jasmine Ward, LCPC, and supported by experts like Director of Clinical Training Dr. Jaclyn Guerriero, ensure that the information we share is clinically sound and grounded in years of experience.

By participating in our workshops or hosting our team, you are accessing a continuity of care for mental health in Lake County that prioritizes education as much as treatment. We don't just provide services; we build the community's capacity to support one another.
