Anger Management Program in Lake Villa
Anger is a natural emotion, but when it becomes overwhelming or disruptive, professional support can provide the tools needed for change. At Bradley Counseling, we offer comprehensive therapeutic interventions for behavioral challenges through our specialized anger management program.
Whether you’re seeking support for a child struggling with frustration at school, or you are an adult looking to improve emotional regulation for personal or legal reasons, our clinical therapists in Lake Villa provide a structured, evidence-based path to better self-control and healthier relationships.
Anger Management Evaluation and Behavioral Skills Building Program
Our program is designed to be clear, goal-oriented, and effective. We offer both evaluations to determine if any treatment is needed and a structured curriculum to help you or your child develop skills to better manage anger.
Anger Management Evaluation
- Cost: $250 Flat Rate
- Format: A 2-hour appointment that includes a clinical interview combined with standardized assessments.
- Outcome: You will receive a formal report within 30 days that provides a deeper understanding of the anger and specific recommendations to manage anger, which may include treatment.
8-Session Skill Building Program
Our core program focuses on transforming reactions into responses. We provide an initial intake (about one hour) followed by an 8-session curriculum:
- Skill-Focused Learning: Each week targets a specific skill, including stressor identification and adaptive coping techniques.
- Youth Support: For clients under 18, we include an additional final session for parents to discuss progress, get feedback, and ensure the skills are being practiced at home.
- Certificate: Upon successful completion of the initial session and the 8-week course, you will receive a certificate of completion to satisfy school or probation requirements.
Why Choose Bradley for Behavioral Skill Building for Anger Management?
Choosing Bradley Counseling means working with a multi-disciplinary clinical counseling team that understands the complexity of behavior. Because our team has experience supporting children, teens, adults, couples, and families through trauma and mental health challenges, we don’t just focus on the issue itself. We take time to understand the experiences, relationships, and stressors contributing to what someone is going through, so care feels more personal, meaningful, and effective.
Our team will work with you to deepen your understanding of the role anger may play in your life, develop the appropriate skills and responses to better manage it, and help you reach your goals. If therapy services are recommended from an evaluation, you are already connected to a full-service center that can support you and your family’s wellness through ongoing therapy services or connections to ensure continuity of care.
