About Bradley Counseling
Since 1982, Bradley Counseling has provided counseling, psychological testing, and behavioral health services for children, teens, adults, couples, and families throughout Lake County, Illinois. Our team of psychologists, counselors, and clinical trainees is committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, expertise, and personalized care.
As an affiliate of Allendale, Bradley Counseling is part of a trusted organization that has been serving children and families for more than 125 years.
A Legacy Behind Our Name
Bradley Counseling is named in honor of Edward Bradley, the founder of Allendale and a pioneer in helping children and families facing difficult circumstances. In 1897, with just $25 in his pocket, Bradley brought six homeless boys from the streets of Chicago to the shores of Cedar Lake, determined to provide safety, stability, and hope.
His belief that every person deserves support, compassion, and the opportunity to thrive continues to shape the work we do today. What began as a single cottage serving vulnerable
youth has grown into Allendale, a respected behavioral health organization serving communities throughout northern Illinois.
As part of the Allendale family of services, Bradley Counseling carries forward Edward Bradley's commitment to helping individuals and families overcome challenges, build resilience, and create positive change.
At Bradley Counseling, we continue that commitment by providing accessible, evidence-based mental health care services for people of all ages.
