When you inquire about our services, our front office staff will gather information about your insurance benefit information, discuss payment options, and identify your scheduling needs and availability for appointments. The office staff will also ask briefly about what type of services you are seeking, and you will be able to discuss details about your situation with the therapist at the first appointment. We are currently accepting new clients, and we try to schedule your mental health check up, testing, or ongoing appointment as soon as we verify insurance (if applicable). At times, the availability of appointments may be limited or delayed depending on scheduling needs and therapist openings. In such a case, the front office will keep you updated on the status of scheduling.

Bradley Counseling Center is an “in network” provider with several commercial insurance companies and it is also an Illinois Medicaid certified provider for all ages.

Costs of services are based on your individual insurance coverage (including deductible and co-pays) and may vary according to the service provided, e.g., first appointment, therapy, psychological testing, or groups.

Our client account specialist will assist you in verifying your insurance benefits as well as determining if you have a co-pay and how much it is.

Self-pay options are also available and can be discussed further upon request. The fee for an initial appointment is $185, and ongoing therapy sessions are $160. For qualifying families, fees may be reduced according to a sliding scale. All fees are due at the time of service. We accept all forms of payment including cash, checks, credit cards, as well as HSA and flexible spending cards.

There are some forms to fill out prior to the appointment, which you will receive when you check in (please come about 15 minutes ahead of time!). In the first appointment, client rights and treatment consents will be reviewed to help you more fully understand the therapy process. A clinical assessment will be conducted integrating information gathered on the forms at the appointment. An individualized treatment plan will then be developed between you and your therapist which shall reflect a shared understanding of your identified goals for treatment.

Your therapist will meet with you at a regularly scheduled time, which will be discussed during the initial call and in your first session. Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes, where you and your therapist will work together on reviewing and achieving your treatment goals. There may be times in which the therapist may meet with parents separately for youth under 18, meet individually with the youth, or work more as a family depending on your identified needs.
